From very early on in life, it was clear that Lori Fischer loved to play with furniture and décor–her bedroom was her primary training ground. She also loved to dust every room in the house so that she could re-accessorize all of the table tops and the dining room hutch. That love of creating something new out of the items that you own continues to this day.

Lori is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and completed graduate work at George Washington University after which she spent a decade in sales and marketing for several Fortune 500 companies.  It was during those years that Lori decided that it was time to merge her love of interiors with her sales and marketing background. She found that perfect balance in Real Estate Staging.

After graduating from the Staging Diva Home Staging Training Program, Lori jumped into her home staging business with both feet.  At the beginning of her staging career, Lori wasn’t sure if Staging was the reason that virtually all of her houses had such quick offers because she had been hired before the houses had ever hit the market. Was it the price? Was it the desirable neighborhood? Was it the number of open houses? It wasn’t until she was hired for two houses that had been on the market for months with no offers that she became a true believer in the power of her Staging skills. Both houses had offers within the first days on the market after they were re-launched fully Staged. One property—that had been on the market three times with no offers—even had a bidding war!

Lori’s focus on Staging for the online market, eye for detail and love of all things pretty has proven to be a winning combination in her Staging business with 85% of her houses getting offers within the first 3 weeks on the market! Because there is nothing better than seeing her sellers succeed so quickly in the market, she works incredibly hard for these results for all of her clients. Of course, all of this must be achieved with an ounce of fun and good humor which Lori provides free of charge when you work with her!




How long have you been doing what you do and why did you establish Rethink Home Interiors?

To answer this question, it’s probably best that I share with you a defining moment and resulting “compelling story” that brought me to where I am today, helping people like you stage their houses everyday to lead to offers right away.

That defining moment in my life happened in late 2010.  I had always been someone who loved decorating my own house and was constantly filling my time exploring design magazines and websites.  I had worked for a decade as a pharmaceutical sales representative and, to be perfectly honest, I was miserable and had always dreamed of doing something else.

It wasn’t until I watched my parents struggling to sell my grandmother’s house that the idea of using my decorating skills in real estate struck me as a possibility for my future.  Being an avid student, I studied everything I could get my hands on about Staging, Real Estate and Photo Styling.  Just like I had always done, I used my house as my Staging laboratory.  I staged rooms throughout my house and evaluated the photos to learn what looked good in photos (for online listings) and what didn’t.  I was becoming a mini-expert on Staging before I even staged a client’s house.

At the same time, I was fortunate to find a great networking group to begin to market my new “business”.   Almost immediately I landed 3 jobs in a row with sellers who had struggled to sell their houses.  In every case, the houses had offers immediately after they were re-listed with my staging.  A-ma-zing!

What I learned with those early clients was that I loved the Staging part of the work, but the more meaningful result for me was the fact that these sellers who had been stuck were finally able to move forward with their lives.  I became hooked on that feeling of helping my clients fulfill their goals.

I have since made a commitment to dedicate the rest of my professional life to helping other sellers, Realtors and investors sell their houses in record time through my Staging Evaluations, full-service staging products and workshops.

Since then, I’ve worked with many motivated sellers, Realtors and investors, spoken in front of countless groups, and have created The Buyer Attraction System™, my formula for creating rooms that connect with buyers immediately and lead to offers right away.

How are you different from other Stagers?

I ONLY do Staging work with motivated sellers and Realtors. In other words, I don’t do interior decorating or design and I’m not a Jill-of–all-trades Stager.  While I have done many decorating projects over the years and I continue to keep up on current design trends and resources for my staging clients, I currently refer all decorating projects to my great network of Interior Designers so that I can devote all of my time and efforts to my staging clients. What that means to you is that I am very focused on anything and everything that works to create an amazingly sellable house.  Because my focus is very narrow, what you get with me is no-nonsense, undiluted expertise on what works for Staging a house to sell fast not someone who is simply decorating your house without any thought to how it will present in an online listing photo.  I’ve simply become an expert at this stuff and that’s why my clients get great results (and I throw in a healthy dose of compassion, humor and encouragement, which ALWAYS helps!).

What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?

The Buyer Attraction products, workshops, and programs were created for people who are absolutely excited and deadly serious about getting an offer right away on their property and ending what I call “the 3:00 a.m. sweats”, meaning, not waking up in the middle of the night anymore saying, “how will I ever get this house sold?” They were created for you to know exactly what you need to do to your house that will lead you to getting the offer you need right away.

Being a high achieving go-getter myself, I’m known to work best with other high achieving go-getters who are super-ready to get going and just want to know exactly what steps to take to get their house sold in record time.

For what type of seller is this program NOT going to work?

Our products are designed for listings with sellers who are living in their homes or that are currently without residents or furniture out but please know I’m very selective in who I work with and I cherry-pick my clients, choosing to (gently) turn away people who aren’t serious about taking decisive action to get their house ready to sell.

The Buyer Attraction products are NOT for those who don’t recognize the value of implementing a sound Staging plan and that it translates into significant money saved in the long-term (if you consider that most of our listings have offers in under one month your wait to recoup you investment is actually pretty short!).  In my experience, sellers who don’t understand that the cost of Staging, while not inexpensive, is a minimal investment that will move their lives forward faster just don’t end up following through on my recommendations and fail to see the results that they would have gotten through our work with them.

Another type of person I won’t work with (without exception) is the whiner or the chronic skeptic, as well as individuals who consistently challenge my staging recommendations as picky, unnecessary or frivolous. If you are one of these people, I gently and respectfully ask that you not call and I hope you understand why. We’ll probably just not work well together and I wouldn’t want you to waste your time or money. Is that fair?

What exactly is The Buyer Attraction System™ and what does it include?

  • Attracting buyers begins with understanding how your house presents and what messages it may be sending to buyers; how your house is going to be photographed, what design trends are influencing buyers today and what you need to do room-by-room to connect with your buyers. Then, it means taking serious action on it. Here’s what the System gets you to do:Evaluation  This is a critical step.  We will spend considerable time helping you to understand what looks like visual clutter in photos (which goes way beyond just the obvious decluttering advise), what emotional triggers—positive and negative—are causing strong reactions from your buyers, how your house will be photographed and where we need to create focal points to catch and keep buyers’ attention when they view your online listing.  We want buyers to be so excited by your online listing photos that they schedule a showing ASAP!  We can help you in the pre-packing process to coordinate relocating furniture based on our recommendations, pick-up and delivery of donations, scheduling a POD or dumpster delivery, and reorganization of cabinets, cupboards and closets.
  • Prioritizing We will examine what the most important rooms to stage will be, what are the biggest projects that need to be tackled and help you prioritize what needs to be done and what would be nice to do.
  • Putting it all together  We will show you exactly how to arrange furniture to show off each room’s best assets, how to accessorize your focal points, what size and color art you need, how to update furniture that feels outdated, how to make a kick-butt bed that looks fantastic in photos, how to accessorize each room in your house in a way that looks amazing in online listing photos and creates an emotional connection with your buyer when they walk in your door.  Heck, most of the time we can find everything you need right in your own house!
  • Get your listing out there in a BIG way  We will make sure that we make every recommendation to make your listing literally irresistible to buyers.  That said, it won’t serve you to put so much effort into getting your house ready for sale if your online photos aren’t amazing.  We have our favorite professional photographers that we recommend to make sure that your hard work shines.  We review your listing photos to make sure that they look as incredible as possible and spread the word about your listing to our network of Realtors .
